Over at Amazon.com, you will find it says “This New York Times bestselling “sweet, quirky memoir” (USA TODAY) tells the “heartwarming story” (Publishers Weekly) of a biologist and the owl she rescued and raised.” This is all very well said and very true. What it doesn’t mention are the escapades O’Brien experiences as she cares for her beloved owl, Wesley. Such as driving miles to pick up the live mice Wesley needs for his meals and having them escape from the paper bag in the back seat of her car. She’s not aware of this until she pulls in for gas, and the station attendant runs from her car!If you’ve read this book already, let me know what you think of it.
