We animal care givers can find it difficult to even *think* about our beloved companions accidentally getting into poisonous or toxic substances. However, should this happen, here is a listing of the information the medical care giver will be asking you. It includes:
- Basic information
- Medication your animal pal may be taking
- Type of poison suspected
- Household or garden chemical
- What exactly happened
If you suspect your animal buddy has ingested a toxic substance, (or is experiencing any kind of medical emergency) it’s probably not easy to think clearly. Hopefully this listing from the Pet Poison Helpline will help you stay calm, letting you know what kind of information the medical care giver will need from you.
